In order to provide our customers with the best possible service, A-Plant has three main divisions - Plant Hire, Tool Hire and Specialist Equipment.
This simplified approach to our product offering ensures that our staff develop a wide knowledge of the products and services A-Plant can provide. The company structure is illustrated below.
Tool Hire
At A-Plant, we offer a huge selection of tools and smaller equipment available to hire from depots across the country, so whether you need to hire a handheld saw for professional or DIY work, an air conditioning unit in the hot summer months, painting and decorating devices or specialist lifting equipment, we can provide you with all the equipment you need.
Plant Hire
A-Plant is one of the largest suppliers of plant hire equipment in the industry, offering a vast range of plant equipment to the construction and civil engineering markets. We are continually investing in new state-of-the-art equipment, so our rental fleet is one of the most up-to-date currently available in the UK today. Like all of our products, our plant range is continually maintained and serviced to ensure reliability.
Accommodation
Our Accommodation division specialises in the provision of a vast range of temporary building systems - from portable toilets and security stores to modular buildings and welfare units. A-Plant Accommodation operates one of the largest hire fleets in Britain with 10's of 1000's of units and operates from our dedicated Accommodation depots throughout the country.
Acrow (Comprising Formwork and Falsework and Ground Support)
A-Plant Acrow supplies formwork, falsework, access products, groundworks equipment and other temporary solutions. Typically the products are used in the construction of multi-storey buildings, bridges, tunnels, retaining walls or any other structure where concrete needs to be contained. Complementing the products and customer support available from its 14 locations, A-Plant Acrow offers design and advice on temporary works from four strategically located regional engineering offices. The company’s qualified engineering staff are capable of dealing with the most complex or unusual of structures. This comprehensive range of equipment and technical knowledge makes A-Plant Acrow the ideal rental partner for construction companies and allied trades involved with temporary works.
Power Generation
Whether you need temporary power for events, site use, offshore applications, roadworks, shutdowns or power failures, we can supply one of the most up-to-date ranges of generators currently available, with a first class service to match the high standards the industry demands. We can provide a 7-day, 24-hour service, 365 days of the year from our dedicated Power Generation locations around the country. Many of our Power Generation depots are based in coastal areas, which means we are able to respond very quickly to customers in the offshore industry. Our generators offer several environmental benefits, such as low fuel consumption, significantly reduced noise levels and low emissions. We are also able to create bespoke equipment by building in or adapting specific functions to suit our customers needs.
Powered Access
Our Powered Access division has a wide range of equipment available, offering versatile solutions for all your access requirements. With a hire fleet of more than 1,500 units, from scissor lifts and telescopic booms to powered personnel lifts and trailer mounts, we are confident that we can provide the ideal equipment for your aerial access requirements. Our fleet is modern and well maintained and we offer true national coverage, experienced technical support, safety advice and independently-approved access safety training courses.
Rail Equipment
Our Rail division offers a vast range of equipment for bridge replacement work, earthworks and drainage, track renewals, track maintenance, signalling and telecommunications work, vegetation management and tunnel related work. Our hire fleet includes equipment for ballast tamping, compacting, drilling, stressing, sawing, grinding, jacking, welding and trackside lighting. We also offer generators, personnel carriers and road rail vehicles. A-Plant Rail is registered with Link-up for the supply of numerous product groups and all equipment is delivered to site by Personal Track Safety (PTS) trained staff, with safety being our number one priority. In addition, we offer a 7-day, 24-hour call-out facility for possession work and we have implemented a rail specific quality management system.
Specialist Pumps
A-Plant offers one of the most extensive ranges of pumps and pumping equipment currently available today, so whatever pumping, spraying or mixing requirements you have, we can provide the ideal products. Our hire fleet includes concrete pumps, water pumps, grout pumps and screed pumps. The range of water pumps includes submersible, electro, hydraulic and air driven models, complemented by a full range of specialist high head and high flow, diesel driven pumps. We also have an extensive range of pipework and accessories, such as hoses, pipe clamps and screeding tripods, suitable for use in conjunction with our pumping equipment.
Traffic Control and Management
Our Traffic Control and Management division is the largest provider of traffic systems on a rental basis in the UK. Our range of equipment includes state-of-the-art battery, cableless and supersilent diesel cableless traffic lights. In addition to portable traffic signals, we also offer a range of other products available for hire, including trailer sets, traffic separators, temporary kerbing, traffic cones, crowd control barriers, remote control stop/go boards, crash impact cushions, tidal flow controllers for inner city traffic and Chapter 8 Signing, Lighting and Guarding with Class 1 or Class 2 signs. We also offer a comprehensive service for bespoke traffic management solutions.
Trenchless Technology
A-Plant offers a vast range of Trenchless Technology equipment, including cobra rodding systems, electro fusion equipment, butt fusion equipment, pipe coil trailers, pipe pushing machines, cable detection equipment and diesel powered trailer winches. A-Plant has dedicated Trenchless Technology locations which are operated by specialists in the field.
Welding (Rentarc)
A-Plant Rentarc is one of the largest welding equipment hirers in the U.K, offering the most up to date range of products available today. A-Plants products are backed up by skilled technicians and engineers who undergo continual training to ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards. Our mobile engineers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as we operate an emergency call out service. Technical assistance is second to none and on-site surveys can be carried out to ensure that you receive the correct equipment for the job in hand Our vast product range is suitable for a huge range of applications. We have everything from petrol and diesel welders through to wire fed units and plasma cutters.
Groundcare and Forestry
When it comes to hiring Groundcare equipment, A-Plant can supply a vast range of grass cutting lawncare, ground maintenance and forestry management equipment. Our grass cutting range includes pedestrian and ride-on mowers, strimmers and brushcutters and our lawncare products include aerators, scarifiers, turf cutters and seeders. For ground maintenance, we offer rotovators, harrows, blowers and debris collection equipment and our forestry management range encompasses chippers, grinders and hedge trimmers. All our Groundcare equipment is complemented by our products for heavy duty work, such as compact tractors, augers, excavators, tracked dumpers, water bowsers and utility vehicles.
