We’re sure you’re already aware of numerous routes around Olympic venues that will be closed or have temporary restrictions and diversions in operation during the games, and that these will also then have a knock-on effect on surrounding roads and transport links. This disruption will impact all businesses where deliveries, collections and movement across the capital are vital and A-Plant is no different. Therefore to try to ease any disruptions we have provided the following information on the services we offer.
What can you do to help us?
Plan Ahead – In order to minimise any disruption to your day-to-day business activities we strongly recommend that you plan your hire requirements well in advance of normal.
Contact Us Early – Contact us at the earliest opportunity about your hire needs so we can work together to schedule in and ensure you receive the equipment for when you need it.
Be Flexible – Consider the time you really need the equipment – are you able to take delivery of equipment during non-peak times? For example between 11:00 – 15:00 when the roads will be less congested.
Keep us up-to-date – If your hire requirements change let us know as soon as possible to give us as much time as possible to adapt accordingly.
How can A-Plant help you?
We have a strategically placed network of 16 Service Centres across the capital and a fleet of nearly 150 Delivery Vehicles ready to serve you throughout the Olympic Games. *
Service Centre Opening Times
All of our Service Centres will remain open as normal from Monday to Friday (07:30 to 17:00).
Logistics Management Team – During our normal opening hours we will be using state-of-the-art GRPS Vehicle Tracking to effectively manage vehicle movements through “traffic hotspots” and inform you of any delivery and servicing issues.
Breakdown Cover – We operate as standard a 24-Hour Breakdown Response Service.
Call Centre (20th July – 10th September) – We are operating a 24-hour Call Centre to support and assist you with hire enquiries, equipment servicing, deliveries or simply to provide you with information on our product range.
Night Deliveries (20th July – 10th September) – In addition to our usual delivery service we will be operating a limited night time delivery service.
