Acquisitions of Hy-Ram, a Scottish fusion equipment business; East Coast Construction; Balfour Beatty Equipment Services; and Events Infrastructure & Branding Limited, suppliers of barriers for the events industry.

A-Plant acquires Lux Traffic Controls Limited, adding a further 40+ dedicated Traffic locations and making A-Plant the UK’s largest provider of Traffic Systems on a rental basis. George Burnett retires as Chief Executive of Ashtead Group and is succeeded by Geoff Drabble.

Ashtead Group doubles the size of Sunbelt Rentals with the acquisition of the US equipment rental interests of Rentokil Initial plc. UK acquisitions also made, including Birse Plant Hire.
