Job overview

In this key role in our busy Transport Team you'll be responsible for carrying out administration duties and providing exceptional support to the business in all matters relating to fleet management and compliance.

On a day-to-day basis you'll be dealing with internal customers and external suppliers, providing an accurate and timely service and generally ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Needless to say, you'll have excellent administration, organisation and communication skills and it's essential that you have prior experience working in a similar role in a Transport/Fleet Team.

Roles and responsibilities

In this key role in our busy Transport Team you will be responsible for carrying out administration duties and providing exceptional support to the business in all matters relating to fleet management and compliance.

On a day-day basis you will be dealing with internal customers and external suppliers, providing an accurate and timely service and generally ensuring that everything runs smoothly.  You will be responsible for ordering new and replacement commercial vehicles, including raising purchase orders and goods receipting.

Needless to say, you will have excellent administration, organisation and communication skills and it is essential that you have prior experience working in a similar role in a Transport/Fleet Team.

The role is based in our Birchwood Park Support Office and your working arrangements will be: Monday to Friday, 37.5 per week, with working hours between 08:00 and 17:00 hours.

The Person

The essential requirements for this role are:

  •   Previous Transport Office Co-ordinator experience with knowledge of Tachograph legislation and software packages and O Licence requirements
  •   Competent in Microsoft packages especially Excel to Intermediate level (V Look-ups/Pivot Tables)
  •   Experience of working in a team and supporting colleagues
  •   Excellent customer service and communication skills including telephone handling and able to build good working relationships
  •   Good planning and organising skills

Ideally you will also have:

  •   Experience of raising and tracking purchase orders
  •   Knowledge of FORS desirable but not essential
  •   CPC Holder desirable but not essential
  •   A full Driving licence
