We are continuing to experience an exciting period of company growth, so it's a great time to join our friendly Credit Control team at Birchwood Park, Warrington.
Roles and responsibilities
In this fast-paced role you'll manage a large dynamic ledger of small to medium sized businesses across all Ashtead businesses. You'll be comfortable managing your own workload and dealing with a high variety and volume to agreed payment terms and working to agreed ageing and cash targets.
Your duties will also involve liaising with colleagues in our Branch/Depot network, as you'll identify and escalate you'll manage credit limits, including reviewing and approvals up to £20k.

Naturally you'll be a 'people-person' with great communication skills, who is confident and resilient when faced with the more challenging situations.
If you are successful we'll work with you to identify your development needs and tailor your career progression plan. Your career path could include working towards CICM qualification and becoming a Senior Credit Controller.
What you'll need to bring to the role:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a high volume commercial credit department
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team working approach
- Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to work on own initiative
- IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Proven track record in a target driven environment
