In order to fulfil this position A-Plant have implemented and operated bespoke software solutions designed and built to drive the business forward over the past 30 years.
Roles and responsibilities
We now have opportunities for Software Developers, in our team based at our Warrington Support Office on Birchwood Business Park. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing these internal and customer facing, business critical and innovative applications, in both new and legacy technologies where appropriate. You will also provide exceptional technical support over these applications to ensure any faults are quickly and effectively resolved.
A-Plant operate a bespoke Agile framework based around SCRUM and KANBAN wrapped with Waterfall project management principles at a program level to ensure the correct prioritisation and scoping of deliverables. As a software developer you will be expected to be involved on the normal sprint cycles and planning/review sessions as well as the iterative build, test and deployment as part of your relevant delivery team.
As a Software Developer you will need to be Degree Level qualified or above in a related subject (Computer Science etc.) or have demonstrable experience with Professional Certification in relevant Technologies.
You will have demonstrable knowledge and abilities in relevant web technologies:
- HTML 5
- ASP.net MVC/Web Forms
- Web API
- Classic asp
- Docker (preferable)
- Kubernetes (preferable)
- Coded Unit Tests/Integration tests
- Azure SaaS /PaaS platforms (preferable)
