A-Plant now has 16 divisions providing equipment solutions across all sectors and in this issue, we have shared some stories of our teams in action, whether this be our presence at Plantworx, the launch of our new BIM library or demonstrating our commitment to collaborating with our customers on major projects, there is something for everyone.
To meet increased demand for site welfare units, UK rental company A-Plant Accommodation has expanded its fleet with a 50-unit order worth nearly £1 million from Boss Cabins. Available to hire from A-Plant Accommodation Service Centres nationwide, the 12ft (3.7m) Comfort Space 7 mobile welfare units offer room for seven workers, thanks to an innovative and practical design.
A-Plant Accommodation has placed an order worth in excess of £1.4 million with Genquip Groundhog for a total of 68 static welfare units. Demand is so high that several of the units are being delivered straight from the production line to site, with a number going out on immediate hire to be used as Polling Stations for the forthcoming elections.
A-Plant will be showcasing its scale and scope on one of the company’s biggest ever exhibition stands at Plantworx, the UK’s largest working construction exhibition taking place at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground from 6th - 8th June 2017.
A-Plant has won the Rental Safety Award at the prestigious European Rental Awards (ERA’s) held in Amsterdam.
A-Plant, the UK’s leading equipment rental company and part of FTSE 100 company Ashtead Group plc has announced that as of 1st May 2017 it has become a Real Living Wage (RLW) employer. This will lead to salary increases for over 700 employees across the A-Plant business.

On Tuesday 18th April 2017, organisations from across the UK infrastructure sector will take part in a national initiative called Stop. Make a Change. Sites, offices and production facilities will be putting work on hold to focus on how everyone can work together to build a healthier and safer industry.
A-Plant is a winner at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards 2017, the company achieved the Gold Medal (six consecutive Golds) award in the prestigious annual scheme run by RoSPA.
