A-Plant Accommodation has invested over £1.25 million in a fleet of new diesel powered forklift trucks manufactured by Linde.

The new Linde HT120Ds forklift trucks have been delivered to each of A-Plant Accommodation’s service centres across the UK to replace its fleet with more modern, efficient and safer models.

A-Plant Accommodation specialises in the provision of temporary buildings, operating one of the largest hire fleets in the UK with in excess of 20,000 units on fleet. The new forklift trucks will be used by colleagues from the A-Plant Accommodation team to safely transport and position welfare and modular buildings both in the company’s service centres and out on customer sites.

“We have invested heavily in this new fleet of forklift trucks to ensure that we have equipment offering the highest levels of safety, performance, comfort, durability and productivity. The new forklifts have a very high specification - for instance, they’re powered by a Mercedes diesel engine, they have a new armoured glass roof providing an unobstructed view of the lifted load and a ‘power on demand’ hydraulics feature reduces fuel consumption and emissions.

“Our fleet of accommodation units is of the highest quality and it’s equally important that the equipment in our service centres is too. The new forklift trucks provide optimum comfort for our operatives and offer a whole host of added benefits such as fully automatic powershift transmission with electronic inching for precise positioning of loads,”
