A-Plant Accommodation elects Genquip Groundhog
A-Plant Accommodation has placed an order worth in excess of £1.4 million with Genquip Groundhog for a total of 68 static welfare units. Demand is so high that several of the units are being delivered straight from the production line to site, with a number going out on immediate hire to be used as Polling Stations for the forthcoming elections.
The new order replenishes and renews the A-Plant Accommodation fleet of static welfare units and comprises 20ft and 25ft units, as well as 32ft units which are completely new to the A-Plant range and are suitable for accommodating up to 12 people, with large canteen, office, drying and toilet facilities. The welfare units being used as Polling Stations have an open plan, multi-use design with a demountable partition. After they have been used for this purpose, the partition is easily put back into place so they can be used as standard welfare units.
Also included in the Genquip Groundhog order are a number of eco-friendly static welfare units which provide energy efficient site accommodation with high specification features, such as full flush toilets, double glazing, extra insulation and significantly reduced carbon dioxide emissions through reduced usage of the on board generator.
Ian Needham, A-Plant’s Director of Accommodation said: “There is huge demand for the new units and we have met very tight deadlines to ensure that a number of them are ready and in place for the elections. Over the last three years, we have invested over £6m million with Genquip Groundhog and this latest tranche of investment confirms that A-Plant Accommodation has one of the most modern national fleets of temporary accommodation across the hire industry, with the broadest spread of units comprising static, mobile and environmentally friendly units.”
