Hypertherm, Never Let Go, Rapid Response Solutions, Trime and Wacker Neuson, were announced as winners of the 2018 event, which took place from 2nd-6th July, and were presented with awards during a prestigious ceremony at the company’s main support office, last week.

Designed to celebrate forward-thinking companies and individuals in the construction equipment industry, the annual event invited manufacturers to present their latest innovative products, services and software for potential investment from the company.

Dave Harris, Business Development Director at A-Plant said he believes the winner’s new products will enable the company to help customers work smarter and more efficiently. He said: “Here at A-Plant we believe the boldness of business leadership that supports and encourages creative thinking, risk taking and the adventure behind innovation should be applauded and recognised.

“Not only is innovation essential to ensure we have a steady stream of new products or services to bring into to the UK rental market, but also, to allow us to contribute to some of societies bigger challenges relating to safety, sustainability and productivity.

“All of the companies awarded today have presented truly innovative products and services and I would like to say a huge congratulations to them and everyone else who took time out to take part in A-Plant’s Innovation Week 2018.”

Throughout the week almost 40 suppliers, including Armorgard, Never Let Go, Hypertherm and Hilti, were invited to showcase their new kit to a panel of A-Plant colleagues, supply chain partners and major customers. Winning products ranged from clever tool tethering systems to a duel view dumper and a portable plasma cutting system.

Ray Caulfield, CEO at leading lighting tower manufacturer, Trime, said he was thrilled to receive an award for his company’s new eco battery and solar hybrid equipment.

He explained: “Receiving an award at any time is great, but to receive an award from the number one rental company in the UK is an honour, not only for the company’s Directors, but Trime employees as a whole.

“The acknowledgement recognises the hard work put in by all departments to design and build quality products that meet market requirements.

“A-Plant expect very high standards from their suppliers, but once you manage to achieve approved supplier status you become part of the family which makes for a great working relationship.”
