A-Plant, the UK's leading equipment rental company has announced a £55m investment in new JCB equipment.

The multi-million pound order features more than 1,300 pieces of equipment including dumpers, excavators, telehandlers and generators

The investment reaffirms A-Plant's market-leading reputation for supplying the youngest rental fleet in the plant, tool and equipment hire sector. The equipment will be distributed throughout its network of over 175 service centres.

"The benefits of a young equipment fleet are widely understood - the latest products are more innovative, productive, safer, greener and more sustainable.

“We are delighted to have placed this latest order with JCB which demonstrates our commitment to working with brand leaders. It is part of our continual fleet investment programme which has seen A-Plant invest £300m during the last two years.

“Among the 1,300 pieces of new equipment, we will be supplying 162 generators into A-Plant's rapidly expanding Mather+Stuart Power Solutions division. Customers tell us that their number one priority is reliability closely followed by availability and quality, so it is vital that we continue to meet these key requirements.”
