FLG Services Powers On With Major Fleet Investment
FLG Services has strengthened its position as a major operator in the hire, sales and service of Lifting Equipment by making significant investment in Powered Stacker Trucks and Powered Pallet Trucks.
The company has worked closely with manufacturer Linde UK Ltd to integrate the new equipment into FLG Service’s hire fleet of equipment. Investment has been made in Linde’s L12 Electric Stacker Truck and the T20 Powered Pallet Truck, both of which are now available to hire from FLG Services Centres around the UK.
The L12 Pedestrian Pallet Stacker has a capacity of 1,200kg and is ergonomically designed using Sinergo®, an innovative design concept which incorporates every aspect of operator and truck interface. The hand guards of the off-centred tiller headeffectively shield hands and keep the operator safely withinthe truck’s contours with excellent visibility through themast. Electric power steering and a compact steering wheel mean manoeuvring in confined spaces is easily accomplished.
The T20 Electric Pallet Truck has a capacity of 2,000kg and has been designed using the concept of active and passive safety. The edges are smooth and rounded, and the power cable is routed inside to avoid snagging. It has a powerful AC motor and when additional power is needed, an automatic momentary power boost provides higher torque to overcome obstacles. Through the application of Sinergo®, all controls on the ergonomically shaped tiller handle can be easily operated by either hand. Both the L12 and T20 models offer fatigue-free load handling, coupled with very low operating costs.
Jeff Hudson, Director at FLG Services said: “Investment in new equipment is based firmly on customer demand and these machines have been brought into our fleet as they offer optimum efficiency, safety and flexibility to meet the needs of our diverse customer base, from construction to warehousing. As part of this investment, we’ve also purchased full diagnostic software, allowing us to offer our clients a rapid response to any faults on-site and limiting down-time to a minimum. We believe we now have one of the largest, most modern fleets of Lifting Equipment for hire anywhere in the UK.”
